With Yelp being it’s biggest competitor, Google Places has added a new feature to put itself ahead of the game. We discussed in a previous post the importance of using social media as a customer service tool, and now you can add Google Places as another outlet for that.
Google Places now allows a business owner to comment on positive or negative posts added by clients on the business listing. Google offers instructions for responding to reviewers and a few things to keep in mind before posting.
Listing your business on sites like Yelp or Google Places allows for more interaction with your clients and allows you to defend your business against the naysayers. Your clients may be more likely to be honest on one of these sites versus an in-store driven customer service survey because of the anonymity.
